Our Prince is Too Lovely! - Chapter 1 Part 1

 1. I did what a beautiful princess does.

In one of the rooms of the southern kingdom of Sefera, Adol stood in front of a mirror.

Reflected in the mirror was a lovely girl with reddish-golden hair. Because this dress had been prepared exactly for this day, its lovely appearance fit him very well.

“It’s sooo hoot! Damn ittttt!”

This uncomfortable heat like he was being burned from the inside caused Adol’s irritation to reach its peak.

The merciless heat, characteristic of southern nations, caused sweat to profusely pour out of him, and it felt disgusting.

The skirt of his dress reaching all the way to his feet looked refreshing, but in contrast, it was very hot. It would coil around his legs every time he walked, so he had to pull it up numerous times.

“…Lady Linol, that’s improper.”

Adol’s anger wasn’t placated by Ray’s scolding voice. Rather, it added fuel to the fire. A fire burned in those blue eyes as they glared at their owner’s knight.

“Who’s Linol?! Have you forgotten your master’s name, Ray?!”

The voice was completely different from a girl’s lovely voice. It was a boy’s voice, slightly high-pitched after his voice cracked.

Ray looked down, exasperated at this person turning around and shouting.

“There’s no way I would have forgotten, Lord Adolbert.”

To prove that Ray hadn’t forgotten, she enunciated each sound as she stated her master’s name.

The master Ray served was undoubtedly the boy wearing the beautiful dress—Prince Adol who turned 15 the other day.

“In the first place, wasn’t this something you agreed to start?”

The coldness of her remark for him to not complain wasn’t at all affected by the heat he was feeling, so Adol couldn’t retort and swallowed his words.

She was two years older Adol and showed a mature composure that didn’t fit someone who was only 17 years old.

“I-I can’t help it?! I never had any interest in cross-dressing! Nothing in me was awakened!?”

Why did he have to miserably wear a frilly dress, be constricted by a corset, and wear a heavy wig?

Adol had learned for the first time recently that long hair could be quite heavy.

“I know. It looks very good on you.”

He wasn’t at all happy that it looked good on him. Not happy at all…!

Adol ground his back teeth and asked in a low growl.

“…Ray, do I look like a girl?”

The figure reflected in the mirror was undisputedly a beautiful girl. However, because she had a stiff expression, her charm was halved.

“No matter where you look, you’re a splendid princess.”

Ray standing behind him informed the truth so bluntly that it felt cruel.

‘No matter where.’ ‘No matter how you looked.’

“Yes! The perfect princess has arrived!”

“With this, surely no one would believe you are actually the prince!”

The maids who assisted him to change his clothes showered Adol in zealous praises. Their bright, shining gazes were painful.

The words of admiration became sharp weapons that stabbed Adol’s heart.

“But…was there a need for even me to cross-dress?”

Ray looked down at her own clothes and tilted her head.

Compared to the clothes Ray usually wore, these knight’s clothes were designed to hide her figure with the armor. Because of that, the slight bump in her chest and her slender, feminine shape could be covered.

So, just with her hair cut short like a man’s, Ray looked like a handsome, young man.

Because she was usually dressed as a knight, she didn’t look that strange, but Adol had requested that she look like a man.

“Necessary. Ve~ry necessary.”

Adol nodded over and over again that it was still at this level.

To prevent any strange people from sticking to her and to calm Adol’s heart, it was necessary for Ray to cross-dress.

(Even if I were to flirt with Ray, I don’t think I can do much with my current look…)

In order for Adol to concentrate on being a girl, he must have Ray become a man!

The maids giggled at Adol’s and Ray’s exchange.

“If Lady Ray was truly a man, then there would no end to the women fighting for the position of her bride.”

Ray’s beauty would charm anyone regardless of gender, and she clearly looked like a gallant knight to anyone now.

Her beautiful and sincere appearance would probably captivate all the high-class ladies… In fact, even as a woman, she was exceptionally popular.

“Thank you very much.”

When Adol gave them a compliment, they looked worried over how to accept, but when Ray showed them a smile, the maids fell over.

This was what worried Adol.

“Remember, Ray. This isn’t Hausenland. Don’t show any openings with men, got it?”

When Adol nagged a warning while slowly glaring, Ray frown in bafflement.

“Are you saying I always show openings…? In the first place, I don’t think there are any men out there who would interact with such a feminine-looking man.”

A female knight was a rare existence. Not to mention, the southern nation was predominately male-centric, so everyone unconsciously assumed knights were all male.

However, this person herself wasn’t even aware that her beauty captivated the eyes of everyone regardless of gender.

(That’s how unaware she is! I’m worried!)

“I think you should understand how lethal of a weapon your face is…!”

Adol looked up, desperately trying to hold back his urge to lecture her. In the corner of his eye, he saw the maids agreeing, nodding with tears in their eyes.

“Sigh.”

Ray’s disinterested response gave Adol a headache. Ray was cautious when matters dealt with Adol, but when it came to herself, she became indifferent.

As Adol groaned, Ray stood beside him and casually checked the time.

“It’s almost time.”

Now wasn’t the time to have a drawn-out lecture with Ray.

Adol closed his eyes, quickly exhaled, and resolved himself. This was the Sefera Kingdom. He couldn’t afford to make any mistakes.

“Well, then we’re off to fight.”

Because he was backed by Ray and the maids, he shouldn’t be discovered at a glance to be male.

“Yes, let’s depart, Lady Linolarth.”

Like a lady, Adol placed his hand on top of the hand Ray held out.

Although he inwardly cringed at this name that didn’t belong to him, Adol smiled like a flower.

“—Yes, let’s go, Ray.”

Right, this was a battle to Adol.

He was ready to use every ounce of his cute appearance he had a complex about because he had to an adorable princess and charm a country’s king.

The girl who appeared among the castle’s gorgeous audience took everyone’s breath away.

The loose wave of her golden hair cast a reddish light every time it swayed in the wind. Her skin, immaculate like fresh snow, was almost transparent. The slight pink from her cheeks gave her color. Under those golden eyebrows, her large eyes, blue like sapphires, wavered in nervousness.

The color of her sky-blue dress turned darker as it reached the hem. That design resembled how the sky changed with the seasons. Everything from the lace ribbon that added color to her hair to the sapphire necklace worn around her thin neck accented her beauty.

A lonely knight stuck closely behind the princess like a shadow.

His silver hair looked like moonbeams yet the color also resembled a sharp blade. He looked dignified with his straightened back, and the way he knelt behind the princess was like a work of art.

The complete image of a princess together with her knight created the finest depiction of beauty.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you for the first time. I am Linolarth, and I hail from the Hausenland Kingdom to the north.”

The velvety and sweet voice coming from those rose-colored lips were like the sounds of a bell.

Princess Linolarth from the Hausenland Kingdom to the north. That name had recently become famous because of her lovely appearance. Indeed, she was lovely and sweet like the fairies who melt the northern countries’ snow and summon spring.

Yet, no one knew that the one before them was her older twin brother, Prince Adolbert, cross-dressing.

“Welcome to the Sefera Kingdom. Princess Linolarth.”

The one who responded to Adol’s greet was the sole man sitting on the throne—the young king of Sefera, the 28-year-old, King Calva.

His black hair, tanned skin, and toned body exuded an allure that only men can give.

“I’m overjoyed to meet a beautiful princess like you.”

This compliment caused Adol to bashfully look down.

Naturally, he wasn’t actually being bashful. Adol was observing the man known as Calva under his guise as a princess.

“Surely, the princess will enjoy her stay in Sefera. We have plenty of things you cannot find in Hausenland.”

Right, this was the Sefera Kingdom. It was an unaffiliated nation where it would be difficult to find commonalities between here and Adol’s homeland of the Hausenland Kingdom.

Located in the southwestern part of the continent, Sefera faced the sea and occupied far more land than Hausenland. Even its climate and culture were different.

“Thank you very much, king of Sefera. I hope to make use of what I’ve learned here back in my homeland.”

Adol smiled brightly. It gave off the impression of a large wreath of flowers, causing the civil officers of Sefera to unintentionally fall in love.

The duration of his stay was planned to be ten days.

To Adol, it would be a contest spanning ten days.
